Keeping your bag in top-notch condition | |||||||||||||||||
Because my handbags are designed with individuality, a bit of razzle-dazzle and beauty, they should be treated like an old special friend. Treat them with care and love and they will repay the kindness. These fabrics are recycled and vintage so they are delicate and not designed for holding heavy objects which may pull at the stitching. If you are looking for a general handbag you can stuff every which way and drag around I can only recommend you get a mass-produced piece somewhere else at your local shopping centre! Oldie but a goodie The fabrics used in creating each delicious handmade handbag are old and/or recycled, so they might have minor wear 'n' tear when created. Any beading, trimming or other details on the bag are recycled too so you must take care not to get these wet or bang your bag against objects which may result in loss of beads (this includes scarves that have beading).

A gentle touch Please treat your bag with love – don't rip the bag open to answer your mobile phone, pull magnetic clasps open too quickly or roughly or overstuff your delicious handmade handbag. The fabric is old and like anything you buy, will age and show wear and tear. She's vintage remember! Wise washing As I don't have full history or details of these beautiful orphan fabrics, I cannot take responsibilty for damage occured when washing your bag. I would suggest a cold hand wash for your bag and a light warm press after its been dried in the shade. Try to avoid getting your handbag wet (including the good ole water bottle) as fabrics may run, as well as grease products, which may harm the fabric. Remember that lighter colours mark easily, You could try scotchguarding your bag before setting out on your first adventure. |
